We are a seaside Guest House just a stone's throw from the Porthcawl promenade, close to the Town centre, Rest Bay, the Harbour, Sandy Bay and Coney Beach. You will be made very welcome in this Edwardian town-house of character, which combines a friendly atmosphere with the little luxuries you might expect of larger premises - soft cotton bedding and towels, complimentary toiletries, towelling bath robes, hostess tray ........

How to find us:
We are situated in Esplanade Avenue, just off the sea front. From the M4 take Junction 37 and follow the signs to Porthcawl, Rest Bay and the Grand Pavilion. When you reach the  sea front, turn first right after the Grand Pavilion into Esplanade Avenue. St Sebastien House is number 30, on your left, 3 doors up from the Lorelei Hotel.

St Sebastien House is only a minute's walk from the promenade and the beach. Situated in Porthcawl Town Centre, we are well positioned for exploring the Glamorgan Heritage Coast; Swansea and Cardiff are approximately 30 minutes away – and Cowbridge is even closer. We are conveniently located close to junction 37 of the M4. Championship golf courses, fishing, coastal walks, Kenfig National Nature Reserve and Margam Park are just a few of the local amenities to be enjoyed.

Incidentally, the house is named after Porthcawl’s twinned town – St Sebastien sur Loire. We have a special reason for calling it that, as we were the first to visit the town and begin the twinning - and our friends in St Sebastien have called their house 'Porthcawl House'! You may notice that the dual carriageway leading into the town is named 'Boulevard de St Sebastien Sur Loire'. The two towns visit each other in alternate years - visitors from St Sebastien stayed in Porthcawl from April 1st - April 6th 2007, and Porthcawl visited St Sebastien in August 2008. See our 'Twinning' page.

From April 2nd 2007, it is illegal in Wales to allow smoking in places used by the public. This measure will help to protect the health of workers in the hospitality sector.
