The guest house is named after Porthcawl’s twinned
town – St Sebastien sur Loire. You may notice that the dual carriageway leading into the town is named 'Boulevard
de St Sebastien Sur Loire'. THE TWINNING CHARTER The Towns of Porthcawl and Saint Sebastien sur Loire, both committed Europeans,
hereby set out their intention to maintain amicable relations, through various meetings of their residents and of official
representatives. The Mayors of the two Towns are engaged in encouraging exchanges in all areas, with
the intention of reinforcing existing links, of improving understanding between the population of Porthcawl and Saint Sebastien
sur Loire, and this in common agreement. Both Towns will support and help meetings and projects.

Twinning Association aims at implementing and supporting cultural projects, sports, and education... as well as regular contacts
between families of the two towns. The Association attaches particular importance in promoting exchanges, friendship and mutual
understanding between the two communities. As the seasons pass... The two Twinning Associations have decided to visit each other every alternate year. These
exchanges will allow the participants to live with a family of the other nationality. There is a shared willingness to promote
family contacts in order to be more familiar with each other's way of life, but also for our children to be the main beneficiaries
of this twinning. They will be the heirs to this union, to a wider European society that we will hand down.
